I am a Team Lead/Programmer/System manager with 23 years of experience in Information Technology on OpenVMS, Windows, Linux, Tru64, and AIX as well as some experience supporting MacOS, using various languages and tools. I have worked in the Healthcare, Utility, and Telecommunications industries. I have some exposure to Oracle and Active Directory. Currently, I am looking for a growth position with opportunities to pick up more skills such as C++, HP/UX, and web-related technologies. Accomplishments

Team Lead:

Led a six person off-shore group consisting of three Quality Assurance techs and three OpenVMS programmers located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
Trained off-shore developers on OpenVMS system and development tools.
Wrote technical documentation for the TRENDSTAR system management and internal development environment, as well as for training purposes.

Programming:

Performed OpenVMS programming tasks on the TRENDSTAR product using FORTRAN, C, and DCL including writing a MS-DRG Grouper for v25 through v27.

Ported engineering and accounting software to Digital UNIX.
Made software Y2K-compliant.
Updated, adapted, and installed resulting software on a DEC Alpha.
Worked with engineers to produce new software to replace older packages using C, lex and yacc, and perl.
Worked with clients using Oracle w/ SQL, and UNIX.
Introduced to object-oriented design
Wrote software to emit queries and updates on client’s live database using Pro*C and lex.

System management:

Worked in system management team to maintain Windows 2000/2003, Linux, Tru64, OpenVMS Alpha, and AIX systems with redundancy and 99%+ uptime. Used Active Directory to help manage both desktops and servers. Wrote technical documentation. Built systems, performed hardware and software maintenance.
Worked with small system management team to implement new OpenVMS Alpha cluster.
Worked with large system management team to assist users with problems on over 60 large/mixed architecture OpenVMS clusters, including mission critical 24x7 systems.
Worked with other platform groups to resolve multiplatform issues.
Interfaced group of Macintosh computers to Novell network.
Performed small programming tasks to fix specific problems.
Learned TCP/IP management under AIX and VMS.
